What Did You Do?

Many of our dedicated volunteers spent Saturday, May 21, working, working, working to make the Gaithersburg Book Festival come off without a hitch. So we missed out on a lot of the fun, the great presentations and talks, the quotable moments. That's where you come in. Tell us the tales of the GBF so we won't feel like we totally missed out on all the fun!

  1. So many high points - what a great job you all did.

I was amazed by Paula McLain, who is just a warm and funny and knowledgeable speaker.

Rachel Machacek was a delight - hilarious and honest.

But the highlight of my day was meeting Ron Charles from the Washington Post. He (and his wife) are so witty and warm and clever.

Thank you for all your hard work!

  2. I met Paul McLain and got her to sign my book but I missed her talk.
Heard James Swanson's talk which was really fascinating. He talked the whole time, didn't read from his book, and then spent a lot of time with each person as he signed books.
    Really great job everyone!

  3. What a great day, I felt like a kid in a candy shop with all the opportunities to hear authors speak about their craft. I now have a several books to add to my list of must reads!

  4. I heard that keynote speaker is very talented and confident what they do and how they perform in front of people. The best quality in these speakers is that they perform their shows in front of audience without any hesitation.
